Sonoma Cast Stone is a rapidly growing company of artisans and technical staff who combine their talents to design and build the most beautiful and functional cast concrete products available today worldwide.

About Concrete

Architects and designers love concrete. Concrete is modern, it is rustic, it is structural and it works with almost every design. Concrete has deep, warm, solid stunning colors. Concrete can be molded into exciting shapes like our WaveSinks or RampSinks and offers the kind of variety found in our WovenStone. Concrete is made with loving hands – it has personality and whispers confidence.

Sealing Waxing

Sonoma Cast Stone's cast concrete surfaces have been factory sealed with a high quality penetrating sealer, which effectively protects the concrete surface by resisting chemicals and stains*. The sealer protects the concrete surface by inhibiting the absorption of substances that come in contact with the surface. We recommend that your product be re-sealed annually and more often as needed. Whereas sealing protects concrete, it is waxing that protects the sealer. All concrete surfaces have been hand waxed with a high quality wax that is approved for food surfaces. We recommend applying wax to your product monthly to maintain luster, to repel liquids, and to protect the sealer. By selecting concrete surfaces from Sonoma Cast Stone, you have chosen an extremely durable material. If properly maintained these concrete products will provide a lifetime of service and enjoyment. *Based on extensive third party testing including substances such as lipstick, detergents, wine, and juices. The results of these tests are available upon request.

Cleaning

We understand how important it is that your concrete surfaces continue to look and feel good for a lifetime, with minimal maintenance. Routine cleaning of your counter should be done with a neutral pH soap. Abrasive cleaners are not recommended. Products high in acidity, such as fruit juice and red wine can etch the surface, while oils can stain the surface, if left in contact for extended periods. Care should be taken to promptly rinse these from the surface.

Some uses for concrete: fireplace surrounds, kitchen counters and sinks, bathroom counters and sinks, bathtub decks, floor pavers, walls, showers, wet bars and laundry room sinks and counters.
